The Global Draw

Global DrawWide area gaming networks represent one of the fastest-growing segments of the gaming industry.  A Scientific Games subsidiary, The Global Draw creates “Global Gaming and Betting Solutions” by designing, developing and supplying leading-edge game content, betting terminals and systems, and processes more than 65 million individual betting transactions every month.

Global Draw Ltd, through its Quick Draw brand, introduced multi-game server-based gaming terminals to the British betting market in the late nineties. The company now supplies terminals to over 2,500 betting shops in Britain and generates over £7.7 billion in turnover and £34 million in duty per annum for the British government.  In 2007 The Global Draw was named Supplier of the Year by the Gala Coral Group, Europe’s largest integrated betting and gaming group and one of the top 100 companies in Britain.

A 2007 change in British gaming law allows betting shops to have up to four machines configured as Category B2 (formerly fixed odds betting terminals) or Category B3 (jackpot machines).  Global Draw pioneered the dual purpose B2/B3 machine.  Its Nevada™ terminals can offer either Category B2 or Category B3 content on the same machines.  The company expects its installed Nevada terminals to total over 11,400 in 2008, making Global Draw the leading supplier of B2/B3 machines in the UK LBO market.

On the heels of a successful 2007 pilot program that deployed gaming terminals featuring custom-designed games tailored to the Mexican market in several Mexico City locations, the company won its first major contract outside of the United Kingdom, with Corporation Interamericana de Entretenimiento (CIE), Latin America’s leading out-of-home entertainment company, to supply 1,500 multi-game server-based terminals.
