BetJet™ Terminal Series BetJet

For betting fans from every point on the experience spectrum, wagering is faster and easier on a BetJet terminal.

The BetJet Series satisfies a range of wagering requirements from teller-operated, to cash and ticket handling self-service, to full account wagering.  Each version in the series incorporates the ClearBet™ Graphical User Interface (GUI) to make the operation for both teller and patron consistent from terminal to terminal.

Key features of all BetJet Series terminals include:

  1. 15” color touch screen standard on all models.
  2. Ability to provide rich functionality over serial communications lines, eliminating the need for expensive wiring upgrades.
  3. An array of ports to accommodate varying forms of communication protocols, including the option for wireless.
  4. Support for the integration of a broader range of products and services at the point-of-sale  including:
    1. Past performance and handicapping data
    2. Online player rewards account access and rewards redemption
    3. Video
    4. Banking network integration
    5. Can be mounted in existing counter enclosures.

The terminals in the BetJet series and their core features are:

BetJet Flip – Combination teller-operated / self-service terminal

BegJet Flip

  1. 7” color display on patron side for bet confirmation, announcements or advertisements.
  2. Complete account wagering and ticket-in/ticket-out functionality with cash acceptance.
  3. Full array of readers – magnetic stripe, bar code, smart card and biometric.
  4. In teller mode, bet entry can be through the touch screen, keyboard, or both.
  5. Fits in existing Probe counter enclosure and brackets.
  6. The standard Probe teller interface remains the same – with some color and other visual upgrades –minimizing the need for teller training.

BetJet SL – Full stand-alone self-service terminal

  1. Full account wagering capability
  2. Complete account wagering and ticket-in/ticket-out functionality with cash acceptance.
  3. Optional coin acceptance.
  4. Array of readers – magnetic stripe, bar code, smart card and biometric.
  5. Mounts to counter, pedestal or wall.

ClearBet™ User Interface ClearBet

The user interface plays a critical role in determining the quality of a racing fan’s overall wagering experience.  The faster patrons are able to navigate the interface and place their bets, the more positive their experience and the more they are able to wager.

Scientific Games Racing combined its decades of self-service wagering experience with the expertise of NCR’s Human Factors Engineering consultants to develop the fastest, most intuitive user interface the racing industry has ever seen.

The result:  a state-of-the-art solution known as ClearBet.  Designed for both visual appeal and an environment where every split-second counts, ClearBet features graphics that are bold and vibrant, but in no way compromise the patrons’ ability to enter bets quickly.
ClearBet accommodates the unique needs of patrons at all experience levels with a wagering flow that:

  1. Takes the bettor through the process in a logical manner;
  2. Tells them exactly where they are in the process at all times; and
  3. Allows them to go immediately to any previous step if they wish to make a change prior to confirming the bet.

Venue operators and patrons alike will benefit from ClearBet features like these:

  1. Easy access to previous steps in the wagering process allows for quick changes without the need to repeat unnecessary steps.
  2. Clear indication of scratched entries and official versus available races.
  3. Minutes-to-Post (MTP) on each race button.

BetJet Mini Full Color Self-service Wagering Terminal

The BetJet Mini is specifically designed to meet the needs of account wagering in stationary setting such as box seats and carrels. 

The unit operates field-proven account wagering software with full account wagering capabilities and with a brighter screen and faster performance than previous generation devices in this category.

The Mini is wireless, portable and is Windows based for maximum flexibility and it features a high-performance touchscreen and a simple to understand user interface.

The small footprint and sleek design offer maximum convenience and ease-of-use for the high-volume patrons who typically inhabit the carrel and box seat areas at racetracks.

BetJet Slim – Dedicated Account Wagering Self-service Terminal

BetJet Slim

Because our terminal software is hardware agnostic, SGR is able to extend ClearBet to off-the-shelf devices and has done this to provide the BetJet Slim.  The BetJet Slim features account wagering software with full wagering capabilities in a very compact unit that, despite its sleek profile, features a 15” state-of-the-art infrared (IR) touchscreen display and optional peripherals.

STAN Self-Service Terminal

The Scientific Games STAN is a proven self-service wagering terminal that utilizes SGR’s reliable and straightforward wagering interface.  It accepts multiple paper cash denominations (and optional foreign currencies), vouchers or account cards.

  1. Field-proven design is both easy to use and maintain.
  2. Multiple installation options, including hanging on a wall, mounting on a stand or placement on a counter make the STAN appropriate for any racing venue.
  3. Adjustable, high-resolution user display assures rapid and accurate bet entry.
  4. Provides complete wagering with account cards, vouchers, winning tickets or cash.
  5. Optional, natural language voice prompts and optional multi-language display and voice prompts are available.
  6. An optional Smart Card Reader is available.

HandSTAN Mobile Self-Service Terminal

The HandSTAN is Scientific Games Racing’s answer to the growing demand for on-demand, simple account wagering at the Track or OTB parlor.

HANDSTAN

HandSTAN provides real-time interactivity with the wagering transaction engine to support an array of functionality including:
  1. Full account wagering;
  2. Displays available events, races and interests;
  3. Cancels tickets upon request;
  4. Offers pre-configured pools and bet amounts;
  5. Displays results and prices;
  6. Displays runner names, if available;
  7. Provides account management including statements.

The display is full-color LCD.  Users interact with the system via a graphical user interface and input information with a stylus pen.  A secure wireless link to a base unit allows patrons to operate at almost any location in the facility and the same wireless network can be used to support the HandSTAN and the Walk-About V2 (which is described next).

WALK-ABOUT™ V2 Hand-Held Terminal

The Walk-About V2 is a sophisticated hand-held terminal that takes teller-assisted betting directly to the fans.

WalkAbout

Sales agents move about the facility to accept bets and cash tickets, providing the highest level of service to those patrons who expect personal attention.   A secure wireless link to a base unit allows Agents to operate at almost any location in the facility and the same wireless network can be used to support the Walk-About V2 and the HandSTAN (which is described above).  The terminal provides real-time interactivity with the Tote to support the functionality patrons require:

  1. Displays available events, races and interests;
  2. Prints patron’s race summaries;
  3. Prints tickets with barcode;
  4. Prints up to four bets per ticket;
  5. Cashes winning tickets via barcode scan or manual TSN entry;
  6. Cancels tickets upon request;
  7. Offers pre-configured pools and bet amounts;
  8. Displays results and prices;
  9. Displays runner/horse names, if available.

The Walk-About V2 also provides tools for effective Agent management:

  1. Notifies Agents of event activity;
  2. Issues Agent assignments on a terminal-by-terminal basis;
  3. Provides Agent’s current cash balance and draw/return on request.
Agents must easily handle a terminal in order to optimize sales.  The Walk-About V2 fits comfortably in the hand, with a weight of only 20 oz and dimensions of 7.25 by 3.6 inches, and is as comfortable for the left-handed Agent as it is for the right-handed.  The display is full-color LCD.  Agents interact with the system via a graphical user interface and input information with a stylus pen.

PROBE® Modular Terminal

PROBE is Scientific Games Racing's terminal for all seasons offering modules to accommodate every track or bettor preference. The basic PROBE module can be quickly converted from teller to self-service mode and can accommodate the addition of Screen Activated Machine (SAM) or Voucher Dispenser modules to provide a larger touchscreen for self-service wagering or to provide voucher dispensing for cash services only

The PROBE Modular Terminal System has an extensive list of convenience features. Including:

  1. Simple touch screen prompts.
  2. Fast conversion into the self-service mode.
  3. Self-service wagering restricted to bet-slip wagering only.
  4. The Screen Activated Machine (SAM) module can be connected to the PROBE to transform it into a full-featured self-service terminal.
  5. A simple connection converts the terminal into a machine that lets bettors purchase machine-readable vouchers with a patron-operated unit that accepts cash, wagering account cards and credit/debit cards.

MAX 3000 Teller Operated Wagering Terminal
The MAX 3000 Provides:

  1. A large, clear teller display, making it easy to read data
  2. Tickets that are interchangeable with other Scientific Games Racing terminals
  3. A rapid and reliable thermal printer
  4. Account wagering and valuable player information via the card reader (Magnetic, Optical, or Smart options available)
  5. Clear presentation of transaction data through the optimally angled customer display
  6. Bet slip wagering.

PC Telephone Account Terminal
The PC-TAT is a wagering terminal specifically designed to allow tellers to accept telephone account wagers. It gives quick, clear, full-color access to key information such as past performance statistics, prices, and real-time pool information. The PC-TAT also gives access to a patron’s account wagering history to provide an audit trail, support customer service, and conduct player tracking.

The PC-TAT was designed with user-friendly bet entry screens and keyboards to optimize the efficiency with which an operator can input a bet,  hereby maximizing the number of wagers processed.
