The Market Research Analyst will work hybrid in our lottery headquarters in Alpharetta, Georgia and will be responsible for leading research projects and providing actionable insights that will drive decision-making for Scientific Games and our customers.  He or she will collaborate across many areas of SG to determine the information needed and the appropriate research to be designed and conducted. 

Primary functions include:

  • Data Collection and Research

    • Design and conduct surveys, interviews, and/or secondary research to gather data for customers and stakeholders.

    • Use a variety of research software and tools for data collection, analysis, and reporting.

  • Data Analysis and Report Creation

    • Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to identify trends, patterns, and key insights.

    • Interpret data to address customer/stakeholder objectives or business challenges and make data-driven recommendations.

    • Translate research insights into strategic recommendations that support marketing, communications, and product development objectives.

    • Use PowerPoint to develop comprehensive and engaging reports, summarizing findings that tell a compelling story.

    • Showcase research results through creative visuals (e.g., charts, graphs) and narratives that are easy to understand.

  • Relationship Management

    • Act as a subject matter expert for existing account relationships to ensure they remain healthy, productive, profitable and mutually beneficial, with a goal of securing repeat business and achievement of targeted revenues.

    • Collaborate with customers/stakeholder teams to understand project goals and objectives.

    • Proactively contact clients to finalize project specifications and provide consultative updates throughout the project life cycle.

    • Serve as an analytical liaison between customers and internal stakeholders

  • Project Management

    • Manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

    • Coordinate data collection activities with external vendors to customer specifications, on time and on budget.

    • Communicate with Account Leads on project status and work together to resolve any issues.

    • Identify new ways to drive efficiencies in our processes to improve productivity.

  • Market and Industry Expertise:

    • Advance SG’s leadership position in the industry by bringing to market new and innovative approaches to data collection and research

    • Stay updated on industry trends, competitive landscapes, and consumer behavior.

    • Provide additional context to research findings by connecting them to current industry or consumer trends.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Market Research, Business, or a related field.


Years of Related Experience

4-6 years professional experience in market research, consumer insights, or a related field.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Experience with managing primary research projects, including scope development, survey design, and report creation is a must

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel and PowerPoint is a must

  • Experience with online survey programming and reporting tools

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills; must be resourceful, persistent and not afraid to ask questions

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal; must be able to effectively convey updates and insights to customers/stakeholders

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment

  • Must be comfortable balancing needs of the company and the customer

  • Ability to absorb large amounts of information in a high energy, fast-paced environment

  • Experience with SPSS and/or other statistical analysis packages, a plus

  • Familiarity with segmentation research, a plus
